Jesus Cried Answers

Bible says Jesus cried loudly "eli eli lama sabachtani" O God O God why you have forsaken me?
Q. O, Christians your saviour cannot save himself from Jews, how he will save you from fire of hell? See a person who is crying for his life can save you from fire of hell? If he was REALLY going to be killed by Jews willingly on cross for your sins, why he was crying... (we muslim believe that Jesus pbuh never died since he was born and alive since 2000 years)

A. He could have, at any time, removed Himself from that cross. He chose not to for our sake. When He cried out, it was because at that very instant all the sins of the world were upon Him and God the Father withdrew His presence. Yes He really died - the Romans were very good at what they did. They stuck a spear in His side and fluids spilled forth. They buried Him in a tomb with a huge stone rolled in place. The Romans set their guards at the tomb. But the tomb is now empty - Jesus was raised from the dead. He is alive.

A. upon the cross Jesus took on Himself all the sins of this world, He who never sinned...All those sins were judged by God ...Jesus was judged on our behalf ...He was made the Lamb to cary our iniquity ...and God could not look upon Jesus at that moment as God was Holy ...Jesus truly felt abandoned ...and cried out loud ...a cry every human experiences in his/her life ...On our behalf He was judged ...on our behalf He was punished with death ...and on our behalf He triumphed over death by His resurrection on the third day ...on our behalf He has ascended to heaven in His human body so we can too be there with Him in our own bodies ...forever and forever

A. He he did cry a lot and he prayed a lot. At one point of time before being captured he knew what is coming for him and his tears and sweats were blood. Scientifically and medically it is proven when some one goes to extreme nervous and tension he will sweat blood. But As for me me Jesus is just an Imagination.

A. They say jesus is god so he must have lost faith in himself as he sacrificed himself to him self to appease his own anger at a system he made. Sounds like an idiot.

Why did Jesus cried "God why have you forsaken me?" on the cross if everything went according to plan?
Q. Or is Jesus expecting some miracle that did not happened and he was greatly dissapointed ? So if Jesus said it to fulfill the prophecy, just like when he ride on the donkey which also was done to fulfill the prophecy, like other things in his life, it seems like that he is basing his life on the prophecies and claimed to be the messiah, isn't it?
Asked by Jim Snider - Thu Mar 20 05:24:44 2008 - Religion & Spirituality - 22 Answers - Comments

A. Christianity assumes that if they can find a similar line somewhere in the Hebrew scriptures that it must be a Messianic prophecy for Jesus to fulfill. Context is apparently irrelevant.

A. We did gain direct access to God when Christ died at Calvary. Christ is our High Priest and advocate in heaven. Heb. 2:17, 18 17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation (satisfying God's wrath) for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid (have sympathy) those who are tempted. I Tim. 2:5, 6 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, Christ became our High Priest and advocate seated at the right hand of God. Seated, because His work was finished at the cross.… [cont.]

A. From what i ve heard of dying on the cross..it is so painful and long death, no one will hang there quietly. The ENDLESS pain and no way to get of that thing. The lungs start filling with water..so, i guess, the actual screaming would be somewhat subdued... But i think, it is screaming, no matter how you cut that.

Why Jesus cried out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"?
Q. I think that Jesus said that not because of the physical pain he was suffering and death he was going to experience, but because at that moment he was spiritually separated from the Father. This was the WORST thing He (as God) ever had experienced: to be separated from the Father. Remember that God is one. We cannot understand this fully, we cannot understand the Cross fully, but we can try to have an idea. What do you think?

A. It show that Jesus pbuh did not willingly go on the cross. Why should he cried like that on the cross if he wanted to die for the sake of humanity? According to Islam and some sec of earlier Christianity, they believed in the substitution theory. They believed that instead Jesus pbuh was put on the cross, it was substituted by somebody else. That why "Jesus" cried like that.

Q.
Asked by laith - Tue Aug 17 06:18:55 2010 - Religion & Spirituality - 1 Answers - Comments

A. He was speaking in Aramaic. In that language, "eloi" means "my God," His words were "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachtani?" "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" He was quoting Psalm 22 which in Hebrew starts with Eli eli. "El" is Hebrew for God, and the suffix i is a possessive. Note that a common usage for El has the plural suffix, Elohim. In any case, this is not the ineffable Name revealed to Moses, it's a more generic term. So El is the Holy One.

Why did Jesus cried when he heard that Lazarus was dead?
Q.
Asked by Highbred - Thu Dec 16 11:20:32 2010 - Religion & Spirituality - 10 Answers - Comments

A. because Jesus had human emotions. He could relate to how we feel and He had the same human feelings that we have. i believe He truly mourned Lazarus (though He was going to raise him from the dead) and as well He was filled with compassion for Mary and Martha and those who loved Lazarus.

A. Things that do not exist cannot feel anything! The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not! There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded! There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death! He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and… [cont.]

A. Trinity is myth because Jesus said. " (Matthew 27:46) About the ninth hour Jesus called out with a loud voice, saying: E li, E li, la ma sa bach tha ni? that is, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? " It is just like a child said to his father, " Dad, dad, dad! Why did you leave?" So his mother hold him and said him, " Your father had a heart attack" So , that don't make the Father and Son are in one. So trinity is a lie.

When Jesus cried out "Why have you forsaken me" was it genuine or rehearsed?
Q. Could anyone claiming to the the Messiah with a knowledge of the OT (Psalms) have used those words ?
Asked by Lone Dissenter again - Mon Oct 26 11:05:18 2009 - Religion & Spirituality - 6 Answers - Comments

A. They could have, if they had known the prophecy in Psalm 22:1, but I have a feeling anyone else would have uttered those words far sooner. Also, once everything else is factored in - all the other prophecies he fulfilled, the miracles he performed, the wisdom of his teachings, and the witness borne to him from heaven at his baptism - his status as the real Messiah cannot logically be denied. We do not know exactly why he uttered those words. They could have been an indication that he recognized that Jehovah's protection had been taken away so that his integrity could be tested to the limit. His reason for saying this may also have been that he wanted to fulfill the prophecy in Psalms that you are referring to. Considering what he was going… [cont.]

He was born of the flesh and if he was born of the flesh then he had human qualities and human desires...You think Jesus was just with this woman Mary Magdalene and he never felt any emotions...what was is dick for, was it a souvenir or did he like to pee that much. Since he was so clean why didn't he cast the first stone at Mary...about him weeping can be found at John:11:35
Asked by sean - Sun Nov 27 17:03:49 2011 - Religion & Spirituality - 4 Answers - Comments

A. Well you couldn't necessarily call crying a flaw. A believer could easily say that he was crying to allow others to identify with him more easily, or something similar. But our concept "perfect" has no physical representation. It's just an extrapolation based on your concept of a system with identifiable flaws. Allowing us to conceptualize a system with less, and then no flaws.

A. what bible say then we Muslim know much about Jesus than u Christians Alhamdulillah here is the answer ( dint cry after his birth) Allah's statement that Maryam's mother said, ("...And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Shaytan, the outcast.'') means, that she sought refuge with Allah from the evil of Shaytan, for her and her offspring, i.e., `Isa, peace be upon him. Allah accepted her supplication, for `Abdur-Razzaq recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said, (Every newly born baby is touched by Shaytan when it is born, and the baby starts crying because of this touch, except Maryam and her son.)
